As much as I love technology, I kind of miss the authenticity that comes with a simpler life. Back when there was no such thing as caller ID, which resulted in calling a boy's house over and over, hanging up whenever his parents answered the phone. Meeting someone new and feeling the excitement that comes along with wondering if and when you will ever see them again. Going on a first date and spen
ding the next week thinking about what that person might be doing, without having Facebook status' and 'check-ins' to fill in the blanks. There's something so innocent and wonderful about meeting someone simply because the stars aligned just right and your paths crossed by chance--or by fate. I love the cyber world, but I am learning very quickly that I love the REAL world even more :)
it's always such a letdown when an attractive guy talks to you and you can literally FEEL your brain cell count decrease with every single word that leaves his mouth. Almost makes me wonder if I should just settle for an attractive mute and leave the deep conversation to my stellar friends and family.
Jason Aldean pandora on blast as we make the last 150 miles into the place I will call home for the next two years. I may experience big city life for a bit, but with down-home country blood running through my veins and a giant Idaho bumper sticker proudly showing above my red white and blue 1A license plate, I'll never forget where my true home will always be....
Well, the day is finally here! I am off to spend the next 2 years chasing dreams in Arizona. How lucky I am to have so many wonderful people in my life that are going to be so hard to miss! I couldn't have done this without the unconditiona
l love and support from my family and friends. I am nervous, anxious, excited, and mostly overwhelmed with love in my heart as I close one door and open so many others. Here goes nothin'.... Don't forget to remember me ♥
Today we picked up one of Andrew and Alex's friends to take him swimming. We were driving to the pool and singing in the car with the windows down. The boys' friend Ethan leans over to Alex and whispers 'you guys basically have Taylor Swift as your babysitter. That's so cool!' Alex gives him a weird look and then says 'uh...no. She is actually a princess. Like, a real life princess. And we are her knights.'
...you better believe I cried.
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITHOUT MY MUNCHKINS FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS!?!?!

Getting a little tired of the 'damsel in distress' act. Robot girls batting their eyelashes with no opinion=old news. Heres to strong women that stand independently on their own 2 feet & take care of themselves. One day we'll find someone who compliments our flaws & realizes our worth the FIRST time around. Til then, you can save your knight in shining armor act for someone who needs it, I ride my own noble steed.
A woman is often measured by the things she can't control. She is measured by the way her body curves or doesnt curve, by where she is flat, straight or round. She is measured by inches and ages and numbers, by all the outside things that don't ever add up to who she is on the inside. So if a woman must be measured, let her be measured by the things she can control, by who she is and who she is trying to become.
